Kovalam

What a great place. Kovalam is sitting aside the Arabian Sea with hotels, shops and restaurants fronting onto the beach. We walked along the beach front until we came to the hotel that we had chosen. The price was even better than I wanted and breakfast was thrown in. Tahlia is of course is in heaven. Backing off from the beach are a myriad of laneways selling materials, clothes etc.

Yes Sophie, we have bought you another present.

After some lunch TC went off and haggled away while I went for a swim in the surf. The water is crystal clear and very warm, almost too warm. I body surfed for an hour and then sat on the beach reading and getting regular on the best price updates that TC had haggled for on something we don’t need. Later on we sat on the beachfront having a chat and watching the sunset. I had the best tiger prawn curry for dinner.
After breakfast this morning I started to prepare this while Tahlia went to see if her dress had finished being altered. She came back later saying she’d been sitting in a cafĂ©/restaurant with Margaret and David (see previous post).
Tahlia went off shopping with Margaret for the rest of the morning. I went to the pool and did one of my pool sessions much to the amusement of some German and English tourists. We all had lunch together, w
hile overlooking the sea. Very, very pleasant.

Post lunch, I’ve finished typing the while TC went to the shops. And guess what…

Yes Sophie, we have bought you another present.

… And, Tahlia came back with her hair massaged with coconut oil by some by a lady in the street.
There is also this really cool dude, all dressed in white, with dark sunglasses and a 70’s beard that every time you walk past him ‘… pssst want to be some hashish; you like?’

TC is in the pool and I’ve had enough typing today so I’m going down to the pool.
