After breakfast on Sunday I went to get some money from the ATM and whilst wandering along the road struck up a conversation with a local music teacher. And, always one for an adventure I asked if I could have a look
at his school. He was only too pleased but I found that it wasn’t around the corner. He had to take me there on the back of his motor bike. Now this was real fun! On the back of a motor bike, no helmet and belting around Jaipur; I wondered if Tahlia had noticed I haven’t come back. The school turned out to be in a very, very poor area of Jaipur. There wasn’t in roofs’ on some of the shanties. After the kids had settled do I was shown some their instruments and the kids sa
ng a couple of songs. After about 45min I asked to be taken back as Tahlia and I had arranged a driver to take to some of the sites for the afternoon.

In the afternoon we went to first Amber (pronounced ‘Amer’) and then onto Galta to watch the sunset. Amber is a fort-palace situated in the hills south of Jaipur. We had to walk up as it was must have been an EDO (Elephant Day Of) on Sunday. It was very big and colorful. Construction

For our last night in Jaipur we had dinner with a Steve a cool Canadian guy we met at Amber. Italian, not Indian fare; I think TC is almost over Indian food.
The train left Jaipur this morning for a 5 hour train trip west to Agra. Agra will be our last stop before we go to Delhi to begin our trip home.
The train is great, we’ve been just lying on our seats watching India pass by only stopping to have a snooze (TC is asleep now) or to Indulge in what must be India’s favorite past time, drinking Chai or eating. Every time we stop at a station there is a different vendor offering another type of food. We just had the best 4 course curry lunch ($2.00 for us both).

We are in Agra and this is the view from our bedroom..........

OMG Agra and the Taj...how fabulous. Note Tahlia is smiling now. What do you mean she is sick of Indian Food? Impossible.
Are you craving a lamb roast?
Juicy lamb, roast potato, pumpkin, tomato and onion pie, asparagus, cauliflower au gratin...followed by apple pie and really creamy ice cream.
